Save the Date: Women's History Month Commemoration

"A Woman's Response to Tragedy: Armenian Writer Arshagouhi Teotig in Adana, 1909"
Illustrated presentation by Dr. Rita Kuyumjian, Professor of Psychiatry at McGill University, Montreal.
Prominent Armenian author and activist Arshaguhi Teotig traveled to Adana soon after the devastating April massacres there and established a school for orphaned girls. Her subsequent 1910 publication, A Month in Cilicia, provides a poignant description of the devastation in Adana and the massive efforts to rebuild the community.
Date and time: Sunday, March 28, 3pm
Place: Armenian Cultural Foundation, Arlington, MA
Open to the public, free of charge. Reception to follow.
