"The Arts of Photography, Poetry, and Translation"
An Exhibition showcasing Armenian Women's Voices Framed in Images and Verse
is currently at the Three Rivers Community College gallery, at the Mohegan Campus Exhibition Space, 7 Mahan Drive, Norwich, CT, courtesy of Sandra Jeknavorian. Also on continuous video screening is "Bread Baking scenes from the road and villages of Armenia by art teacher Seda Matevosian. The photography is by photojournalist Armineh Johannes. The poetry is from two AIWA publications: Diana Der-Hovanessian's translations in "The other Voice:" and Shushanik Kurghinian's poetry as translated by Shushan Avagyan in "I Want to Live" The exhibition was shown previously at the Armenian Library and Museum of America in Watertown, MA.
